10 ways to pay less
1. Compare local companies, not only the desks
Local companies on Curaçao often charge about half the chain rate for the same car class, with insurance included.
2. Book early for December to April
The cheapest economy cars sell out first in high season, and prices rise as the island fills up. With free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup, booking early costs you nothing.
3. Compare the total price
A low base rate can grow at the counter with airport fees, insurance upgrades and taxes. Compare prices with CDW, liability and taxes included.
4. Choose the smallest car that fits
An economy car handles the paved roads to Willemstad, Jan Thiel, Cas Abao and Grote Knip. Pick an SUV only for a family with a lot of luggage or for rough roads in the west.
5. Know your insurance
